Tysons Galleria, one of the most luxurious shopping spots in DC area, presented annual 3-day marathon of fashion, benefiting SOS Children’s villages. Fashionable (and caring for charity!) attendants could enjoy reviewing new fall-winter collections from galleria retailers; book signings, trunk shows, painting_trends_by_numbers, wine tastings, meeting magazine teams etc.
Event took place from September, 30 to October, 2, and Saturday was the richest day in terms of happenings around the mall. About 50 different experiences, each better than the other, could please any picky fashionable consumer. Yes, we are not Mersedes Benz New York Fashion week, but we don’t have to be. We are in DC and we have our own voice and very proud of it! – that’s how it felt afterward.
If you missed this one, don’t forget – next year there will be another! That’s why they call it “annual”! Visit All access fashion website and sign up for newsletter so you don’t miss it – it’s really worth going to and spend whole day at. For those, who get what fashion is about.
Enjoy the pictures.
Now. Perhaps, according to journalistic ethics, I have to be very unbiased, but being a woman on a fashion show, I just can’t. Betsey Johnson to me is always like Christmas morning – you are positive you are going to be blown away but you don’t know how yet. You expect something very young, cheerful, colorful, whimsical, and every time you see the model come out you get that, but can’t hold the exclamations. It’s expected, but always unpredictable – how does she do that? Her clothes are anything but blah. I salute you, precious Betsey! Please come to DC again.
