Mick Rock photography exhibit at W

19 Feb

by Yulia Mikhalchuk

Those of you who appreciate music, rock & roll, the seventies, or just awesome photography are invited to living room of W Washington DC from March 2-31. Legendary Mick Rock, a.k.a. ‘the man who shot the seventies’, will have his exhibit open to public, with both old and new pieces.

Since 2008, Rock has captured intimate behind-the-scenes portraits and on-stage theatrics at W’s live music series, Symmetry Live, which offers W guests insider access to who’s new and next in music. These images, which include shots of past Symmetry Live performers like Cee Lo Green, Janelle Monae and Ellie Goulding, will be displayed alongside Rock’s famed photos of rock and roll legends such as David Bowie, Debbie Harry and Iggy Pop. In addition, the exhibit will include Rock’s latest photographs of some of music’s most acclaimed talents, including Bono, Snoop Dogg, Alicia Keys and Lady Gaga.
