Eat, drink and be CHERRY – that was the official motto for the 5th Annual Pink Tie Party – fundraiser and kick-off to the “season of the blossoms”. This year it was held on March 23 in The Mayflower® Renaissance Washington, DC Hotel, and featured metro-DC’s top chefs’ delicious cherry- and blossom- inspired cuisine and cocktails. Celebrated Chef Host was Richard Sandoval. Guests were offered variety of fingerfoods, desserts and drinks, along with marvelous entertainment. Proceeds benefited the National Cherry Blossom Festival, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting the beauty of nature and international friendship through year-round programs, events, and educational initiatives that enhance our environment, showcase arts and culture, and build community spirit.
